Dad is taking radiation treatments every day. He also is taking chemo in the form of Xeloda. Our insurance has refused to pay for the Xeloda stating that it is "not approved for cancer treatment, except in the case of colo-rectal cancer and breast metastases" therefore, all payments for this treatment are 100% out of pocket. They told the doctor to choose another medicine.

Unbelievable!! I think it is disgusting that we pay premiums every month and they can choose what drug we should or should not have for treatment....as if they are doctors!

Dad said he thinks he feels like his tumor is shrinking. He wondered if he is being optimistic, but I told him that's the way to be!
More later, Cherish
